I neglected to provide you with details about the NEXT MLA, a topic in
which readers of the Dickens list might be expected to take an interest:

The program topic for the scholarly sessions sponsored by the Dickens
Society for the 1995 MLA in Chicago is "Dickens and Eccentricity."
Completed papers or 2-page proposals should be directed to Hilary Schor,
Humanities Research Center, Stanford University, Stanford, CA  94305-8630
by 31 March 1995.
