Friends of the Dickens Forum,

How Robert Newsom <[log in to unmask]> roots out items
like this one baffles our imagination: (pjm)
----
An Irish court has ruled that a man has died of "spontaneous human
combustion":

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-15032614

And recall that the BBC did a persuasive and suitably gruesome report on SC
a few years ago:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/158853.stm

While the "spontaneity" of the combustion remains questionable, the
phenomena associated with what the BBC investigators discovered using a
pig's carcass exactly match Dickens's description of Krook's incinerated
remains -- and the walls of his house.

Dickens's reports proven right once again.
