Subject: Dickens and Slavery

I have a question.

Does anyone know if there exist essays or portions of the fictions that
address slavery? Other than in the letters, I'm wondering if Dickens
wrote on this issue more extensively.

I am interested in both slavery in the British Empire (abolished in '34)
as well as American slavery.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon Varese
